    We had a great stay, especially loved the immaculate pools and the spacious two-bedroom house with a lovely bay view. The kids' play area was a fantastic bonus for our family!

    The breakfast was absolutely excellent and superb with egg dishes cooked to order and pasta, good service. Got big size house with fully stocked cupboards full of crockery when arrived, greatly enjoyed that. Location: the hotel was just next door to very nice restaurants so hard to top that, the Algarve coast and the shore. I ate in the terrace restaurant nearby.

    There is alot to do for the children, but besides the 'blueroom' and swimming everything else costs money. I like being so close to the beach and having the gym, spa, etc on the resort is very nice.

    At night time I did not think there was much of an atmosphere, there seems to be alot of very you children. My children aged, 13, 10, 8. They were by far the oldest children there during our time at martinhal. And yes it is very breezy at times but sometimes it can be a welcome relief from the hot sun.

    Beautiful hotel, excellent service, with a great breakfast selection that included a wide variety of options to suit all tastes, and accessible beach access made our stay enjoyable.

    We stayed in a beach room and fell asleep listening to the waves. It was lovely. Soft drinks in the mini bar in our room were re-stocked free of charge daily and the little treats with the turn over service was a nice touch. Also, the take away pizza from the mini market on site was amazing! We went for a couple's holiday but the Martinhal would be a great place to go with kids.

    Not an awful lot going on in Sagres.

    The pools were nice. The apartments were very nice.

    Our apartment did not have the advertised video on demand or satellite tv. Also the cleaning staff only did bedrooms, not the entire apartment. The restaurants were mostly overpriced compared to restaurants in the region.

    Stunningly designed hotels and houses around fantastic resort on some of the best beaches in Europe. Brilliant for super released luxury holiday for families - lots of options and choices. Discreet as you like. Our house Conran designed - cool furniture, great views - amazing!

    Not that social. Very quiet.
